Lien is an associate in our Real Estate Disputes team, which is a top-tier practice described as "one of the strongest in the country" by Legal 500. With clients ranging from institutional landlords, real estate funds and well-known high street retailers, Lien advises on a variety of property litigation issues with a particular focus on commercial landlord and tenant disputes.
As well as dealing with an array of investment management matters such as arrears recovery, dilapidations and redevelopment strategy, Lien has extensive experience in dealing with tenant insolvency, and in-depth knowledge of company voluntary arrangements (CVAs).
Lien is author of the case round-up for Hogan Lovells' Real Estate Quarterly newsletter and has published articles in Property Week and LexisPSL.

Successfully procured final injunction to prevent "urban explorers" trespassing on prominent London skyscraper.
Coordinated service of over 600 light obstruction notices to facilitate major new residential development in the Docklands.
Represented landlords in various High Court challenges to retail and leisure CVAs, including Debenhams, Monsoon Accessorize, and Regis.
Managed multiple sets of court proceedings in respect of unpaid arrears and advised landlords and occupiers on complex frustration issues arising from the COVID-19 pandemic.
Advised a residential developer on over 100 neighbouring occupiers' rights to light surrounding a major industrial estate.
Assisted with strategy to obtain vacant possession of numerous retail units for redevelopment of a shopping centre, with the added complexity of a pending sale.
