Karina's experiences within 16 (sixteen) years of lawyering has made her involved in a number of different industry sectors. Over the last 5 (five) years, she has spent considerable time in assisting the clients in general corporate, property, energy and natural resources, infrastructure and also employment.

Karina is experienced in acquisitions, joint ventures, shareholder agreements and strategic business alliances which commonly involved due diligence process. She has provided various types of advice and assisted major clients including State Owned Company in a corporate action and dealt with government authorities such as Indonesia Investment Coordinating Board (Badan Koordinasi Penanaman Modal - BKPM) on licenses and approvals.

Property and/or real estate is also a sector which Karina focused on. She actively advises several well-known developers on land acquisition, construction permit and licenses, agreement with their consumer/buyer and construction agreement (EPC Contract). In 2012, she advised on the swap of lands located at Bali, Indonesia.

Karina also assisting the clients in energy, natural resources and infrastructure sector including drilling contract, assignment of working interest and/or participating interest and compliances. Prior joining DNFP, she was advising the client on the preparation of Public Private Partnership project for airport/ port system, and toll road.

Representative experience

Working with HL Spain to conduct a limited due diligence of several manufacturing companies established in Indonesia for acquisition purposes.

Advising a multi-national bank in respect of a licence for the Borrower operating a general hospital in Indonesia.

Advising a multi national company on investment permits and licenses, the expansion of the business and joint venture agreements.

Advising a foreign investment company on the investment of a  Regional Company.

Advising on the acquisition of a company, which involved the legal due diligence of hotel located at Kuta, Bali, Indonesia.

Advising a company on a land acquisition in Sabang, Aceh including advising on the principle license process for hotel development.

Advising the consortium establishment for the tender with PLN.

Advising a Regional Owned company on a drilling agreement in a geothermal project.

Advising several multi national companies on employment termination and/or outsourcing.
