Hogan Lovells advises Edenred in North American expansion with US$600 million acquisition of CSI

Silicon Valley, 12 November 2018 – Hogan Lovells represented Edenred, a world leader in transactional solutions, in its recently announced agreement to acquire Corporate Spending Innovations (CSI), one of the leading North American providers of corporate payment solutions. The US$600 million deal will enable Edenred to step up its development in the fast-growing corporate payment segment, enhance its digital payment technology platform, and significantly increase its North American presence.

The deal follows on from a European partnership formed nearly two years ago between the two companies. With the recently announced acquisition, Edenred is considerably bolstering its expertise in innovative payment solutions. The company’s global footprint will also serve as a major driver in accelerating CSI’s growth.

The deal is subject to approval by the relevant competition authorities and expected to close in early 2019.
