Benjamin Kostrzewa uses his experience in international trade law, Washington policymaking, and Chinese law and business culture to advise clients in dynamic environments. His deep experience in Washington, Beijing, and Hong Kong allows him to assist Chinese and other global clients as they navigate U.S. trade policies and resolve U.S.-China disputes.

Benjamin assists his clients on the full spectrum of trade issues, including cross-border export controls and sanctions investigations, Section 301, anti-dumping and countervailing duty matters, free trade agreement (FTA) negotiations, Section 232 and Section 301 exclusion applications, customs issues, Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States filings, and World Trade Organization (WTO) and FTA disputes. He represents clients before the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative; Departments of Commerce, State, and Treasury; International Trade Commission; WTO; and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Previously, Benjamin worked at an international law firm in Washington, D.C. where he gained critical experience in trade remedies, trade policy, export controls, and government relations. Prior to that, he served as assistant general counsel at the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative.

In law school, he served as executive articles editor for the Pacific Rim Law & Policy Journal, president of the International Legal Society, and founding member of the Asylum Law Clinic. Benjamin also won first place in the Moot Court Appellate Advocacy Competition.
