"Expensive, but worth the extra charge – brilliant mind!"(Competitor)
JUVE handbook 2018/2019
Long before corporate and M&A litigation were regarded as a separate field of law in the German legal market, Kim Lars Mehrbrey focused on these areas.
He combines the experience and knowledge of being a former corporate and M&A lawyer with the skills of a professional litigator and arbitration counsel and has 20 years of relevant work experience in this field. Kim is also very active in bringing and defending antitrust claims and in handling professional liability cases. Furthermore, he frequently advises clients in relation to claims resulting from tax schemes, in particular regarding so called cum ex transactions.
He is dually qualified as a German Rechtsanwalt and a Solicitor of England & Wales, which gives him a sound understanding of the different legal systems of civil and common law.
Kim loves complex cross-border disputes and prepares, implements and coordinates strategies to discover and pursue claims. He also sets up strategies to defend against claims. Kim regularly publishes on dispute resolution matters and acts as a speaker at conferences. He is publisher and author of the largest handbook on corporate litigation (Handbuch Gesellschaftsrechtliche Streitigkeiten, 3rd edition published in December 2019) in Germany and in 2018 also published a handbook on M&A litigation (Handbuch Streitigkeiten beim Unternehmenskauf).
In the JUVE Handbooks 2018-2020, Kim Mehrbrey has been named as one of the "leading lawyers for corporate litigation" in Germany. The inclusion is the result of extensive research performed by JUVE.
